The International Women’s Day program brought a press statement, photo exhibition, and social media campaign together around women’s and children’s rights. The situation of women, children, and children staying in prison with their mothers in Turkey was among the central themes.
The 32-photo “Victim Women Photo Exhibition” at Copenhagen City Hall Square reached more than 1,000 people, with around 600 leaflets distributed. The accompanying social media campaign generated 30,535 tweets worldwide.
The program also drew attention to human rights concerns affecting women who lost their lives on routes across the Aegean Sea and the Meriç River, bringing together participants from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
