On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, A New World Denmark plans an online awareness campaign across its social media channels, highlighting that poverty is not simply a lack of income. It is closely linked to access to housing, education, healthcare, social security and meaningful participation in society.
In line with the United Nations' 2026 focus, “Safe Homes for All,” we will draw attention to the connection between adequate, secure housing and human dignity. The campaign will also highlight the importance of including people experiencing poverty in decisions affecting their lives.
We plan to share content in Turkish and English across social media channels. Through visuals, informative posts and calls for solidarity, we will explore child poverty, housing security, in-work poverty, social protection, discrimination, equal opportunities and rights-based solutions.
Reflecting the human-rights awareness and responsible-participation approach of our Young Activists focus area, we aim to share verifiable information, challenge stigma, strengthen solidarity and encourage inclusive, lasting solutions. People will be able to follow and support the campaign through our social media channels.
